Contributions to Entomology - Beiträge zur Entomologie

The journal “Contributions to Entomology” (ISSN: 0005-805X) was founded in 1951 by Deutsches Entomologisches Institut. It is published in two issues per volume/year by Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut and printed by the publishing house Goecke & Evers, Keltern. A volume contains ca. 460 pages. The last issue of a volume contains the table of contents of the year.

The journal publishes original contributions mainly in German or English language concerning insect systematics, taxonomy, phylogeny, zoogeography, faunistics, ecology, applied entomology, entomological bibliography, and history of entomology.

Before being accepted, all papers are refereed both by members of the editorial board (subject editors) and co-opted specialist referees (peer review).

The journal is an official publication of the German Society of General and Applied Entomology (DgaaE).

All published papers with abstracts, treated taxa, and information about the authors are available in an online database.

Authors will be supplied on request with a PDF of the article, free of charge. These files will from now on contain colour images even, if those in the printed article were in monochrome.
