 Post Conference Excursion

Dormouse ExcursionWe will visit habitats of Glis glis and Eliomys quercinus. We will have a guided trip though the sandstone needles and through the exhibitions of the National Park House.

The post-conference excursion costs 20 Euros. This does not include accommodation and dinner.

We offer a post conference excursion to the National Park Saxon Switzerland on Tuesday Sept. 27th. The National Park is situated south of the city of Dresden . Sandstone needles and bizarre cliff faces with strange conifers, primordial beech forests and deep-running streams have been a German National Park since 1990. Along with the winding River Elbe and a protected landscape of broad forests, meadows and fields beneath majestic, flat-topped, mesa-like mountains, they form the region of the Nationalpark Sächsische Schweiz (or "Saxon Switzerland" in English).

Participants who informed us to stay overnight are accommodated at

A & O Hostel Dresden
      Strehlener Straße 10
      01069 Dresden

Travel and Accommodation Grant
