Archiv für Molluskenkunde

This malacological journal was founded as „Nachrichtsblatt der Deutschen Malakozoologischen Gesellschaft“  in 1868 by Senckenberg volunteer collaborators W. Kobelt and D. F. Heynemann. Since its foundation it was edited by the respective head of the mollusc section of the Senckenberg Research Institute. In 1920 the title was changed to Archiv für Molluskenkunde.
Traditionally, the scope of the journal is to publish contributions on the field of systematics and taxonomy of Recent as well as Tertiary molluscs. But papers on ecology, biogeography, evolution and phylogeny are welcome as well.
The Archiv nowadays is the oldest uninterruptedly published malacological journal of the world. It is internationally recognised and ISI-listed since 2010.
