Probleme mit dem Filzigen Spierstrauch Spiraea tomentosa L. auf den Moorwiesen in der Nähe von Parowa

Spiraea tomentosa L. as a problem on peatland meadows near the Parowa village
The paper presents some results of floristical and phytosociological investigations carried out in the years 2006 and 2013 on the peatland meadows complex near the Parowa village (Lower Silesia Forests, Poland). These results were compared with phytosociological data from 1970. The comparison revealed pronounced changes in species structure of the plant communities as well as habitat degradation. One of the essential problem is the expansion of the alien species Spiraea tomentosa L., enhancing degradation of meadow communities. Presently, due to mowing of the grasslands the species has vanished in some sites.
