Systematik, Taxonomie & Evolution grasartiger Monokotyledonen (z. B. Cyperaceae, Juncaceae, Poaceae) mit Schwerpunkt der Gattung Carex L., einschließlich evolutionärer, bioegographischer und funktioneller Fragestellungen (z.B. Makroevolution, Diversifikation, Nischen- & Merkmalsevolution, Areal- & Biomevolution, Merkmalsplastizität). Sammlungsbasierte Forschung, wie Molekulare Phylogenetik, DNA-Barcoding, Integrative Taxonomie, einschließlich Anwendung & Entwicklung nachhaltiger Methoden der halbautomatischen Merkmalsextraktion von Herbarbelegen (z. B. REM, Digitalmikroskopie, Digitalisierungsverfahren). Arktis, Hochgebirge der Nordhemisphäre, Zentralasien, Neotropis. Zudem interessiere ich mich für Glazialgeschichte, Ethnobotanik & Floristik in Deutschland.

Promovierende in der AG Funktionelle Biodiversität der Pflanzen 

Ich bin Botanikerin mit Forschungsinteressen an mitteleuropäischer und mongolischer Pflanzendiversität sowie an der Entwicklung neuer und innovativer Analysemethoden in Herbarien. Meine derzeitige Arbeit konzentriert sich auf die langfristigen Auswirkungen des globalen Wandels auf die Pflanzen der mongolischen Steppenökosysteme.

Projekt:

Pflanzenphänologie, -verbreitung und funktionelle Merkmale in mongolischen Weidelandschaften.

Wir untersuchen die langfristigen Auswirkungen des globalen Wandels auf Pflanzengesellschaften, Verbreitungsgebiete, Phänologie und biochemische Pflanzenmerkmale in der Mongolischen Steppe. Für unsere Forschung führen wir Feldarbeit in der Mongolei durch und nutzen Herbarien.
