“wildmentor” – An App for the Flora and Fauna of Bangladesh

Get to know the biodiversity of Bangladesh!

Bangladesh is a very biodiverse country and has the largest contiguous mangrove forest area in the world, the Sundarbans. At the same time, Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world and is highly affected by the effects of climate change. In addition, a steady rise in consumption levels and energy consumption are accompanied by increasing environmental pollution, for example from plastics. This makes the teaching of species knowledge all the more important today. The mobile app from Wildmentor shows which species are found in the various habitats of Bangladesh and which of them are already threatened. Users can also share their observation data and thus contribute to the current state of knowledge and discourse.
