My research interests lie at the intersection of soil zoology, trophic ecology of invertebrates,
microbiology, and virology. The main object of my research is microbial communities associated
with soil social invertebrates (termites), their habitats and food resources. I have particular
interest in the links between the taxonomic and functional composition of such microbial
communities to invertebrate traits: their feeding types and social groups (families and castes
within termite species).
