Section Apterygota

Apterygota is the paraphyletic group traditionally including the primitively wingless insects Zygentoma (silverfish) and Archaeognatha (bristletails), along with the three other classes of Hexapoda: Collembola (springtails), Diplura (two-pronged bristletails) and Protura (coneheads).

While the activities of the Apterygota section focus on Collembola, their wingless allies are also welcome within our walls.
