Senckenberg Botany Meeting 2026
In addition to reports on the progress and design of cross-departmental research projects, the focus was on planning for the upcoming 2027 evaluation and the joint strategy for herbarium digitization. As in previous years, the meeting proved to be very important for the cross-site exchange among scientific and technical staff. The next meeting is expected to take place in 2027 in Weimar at the Department of Quaternary Research.
Karsten Wesche’s presentation on developments in multispectral analysis of herbarium specimens was followed by a detailed discussion on the digitization strategy.
