Scientific Journal

The journal ‘Beiträge zur Entomologie’ was founded in 1951 by the “Deutsches Entomologisches Institut”. In the past years up to and including volume 66 about 1850 articles by 950 authors were published in 6 languages. All past articles have been digitized and made available in the archive. Since 2017 (volume 67, issue 1) the ‘Contributions to Entomology’ have been published as an open access journal (online-ISSN 2511-6428). No fees are charged for submitting, reviewing, editing, reading, or downloading articles. The articles are licensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0 International. Metadata and bibliography of each article are offered digitally for use in literature management programs.

The parallel print edition (Print-ISSN 0005-805X) serves for sustainable archiving in libraries and the efficient exchange of publications with currently more than 330 partners in 60 countries.

For the purpose of long-term archiving, all articles of the Contributions to Entomology are sent to the German National Library (DNB).
