My research focuses on zooplankton ecology, from species-specific population dynamics to inter-specific trophic interactions. Understanding how climate change and anthropogenic activities impact the life cycle of meroplanktonic species (e.g. Scyphozoa) and how it modifies the planktonic food web is a central theme of my research.

Current project
I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the BIOWEB project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). This project aims to investigate changes in biodiversity and associated food webs in the North Sea, mediated by environmental drivers and human activities. Within this framework, I am using long-term time series and trait-based analysis to identify the main trends in taxonomic and functional biodiversity of the meroplankton community and its relationship with environmental and anthropogenic parameters.
