Biodiversity in Frankfurt

Support us in Frankfurt/Main with the digitization of urban biodiversity mapping

Senckenberg has been carrying out biotope type mapping of Frankfurt’s urban area since 1985.

While the more recent data for evaluations of changes in the urban area are already available in digital form, the exciting initial survey from the 1980s in particular is not currently available digitally.

Support us with the digitization of the biotope type maps. Your main task will be to identify the individual biotopes of the scanned maps on the PC. You need basic computer skills, ideally previous knowledge in GIS applications. Further training will take place on site.
