Senckenberg Frankfurt exchanges publications worldwide with around 1,350 partners in more than 80 countries. The “International Publication Exchange” is part of the Publishing Division.
With respect to content, the acquired publications cover Senckenberg-relevant research areas. The majority of the exchange items received are available to users of the Frankfurt University Library. Journals, series and books given to the University Library are an important contribution to the Specialised Information Service Biodiversity Research (BIOfid)
https://www.biofid.de/en/, which is managed by the University Library.
A further portion of the exchange publications is made available to the division libraries of the Frankfurt Institute that are not open to the public.
The exchange of publications promotes cooperation for mutual benefit, both in terms of content and finance.
