The Senckenberg Science Magazine

Our science magazine Natur • Forschung • Museum (i.e., Nature • Research • Museum) (NFM) is published quarterly and contains exciting articles from the field of modern nature research. There are stories about the researchers’ everyday work, their findings, and how they obtained their results. In addition, NFM contains information about activities and events at the Senckenberg research institutes and natural history museums.

Our readers are people who love to immerse themselves in the world of science, first among them the approximately 6,500 members of the Senckenberg Society. Moreover, NFM is distributed to private and public institutions – preschools, schools, libraries, scientific associations, universities, and other research institutions.

Our journal was published for the first time in 1869, back then with the rather clumsy title “Bericht über die Senckenbergische naturforschende Gesellschaft” (Report on the Senckenberg Nature Research Society). With the relaunch in 2011, we updated the magazine with a modern layout, but even in our 150th year of circulation, we remain true to the usual content: carefully researched science (stories), related in-depth and first-hand by our own researchers!

The subscription to Natur • Forschung • Museum is included in the membership fee for the Senckenberg – Leibniz Institution for Biodiversity and Earth System Research (SGN)

The issues are also available via the publication exchange. For further information, please contact Exchange of Publications Frankfurt/M.
