The database provids an overview about type, context, and archiving of data generated by research units of Senckenberg Leibniz Instititution for Biodiversity and Earth System Research (SGN).

The virtual herbarium of the Lausitz offers an overview of the flora
of the Saxon Lausitz and adjacent areas in Brandenburg, Poland and the
Chech Republic by means of specimens from the Herbarium Senckenbergianum Görlitz (GLM).

The portal “Bestimmungskritische Taxa zur Flora von Deutschland”
offers information and illustrations (high resolution scans of validated herbarium sheets) of these difficult to determine species.

Zoology

MARSAMM – Historical collections of marine organisms – a window into the beginnings of Global Change in the North and Baltic Seas
Documentation of faunal changes in North and Baltic Sea since the 19th century based on collections of marine organisms of the Zoological Museum at the Christian-Albrechts-University (CAU) in cooperation with the collections of the Senckenberg Research Institutes and Natural History Museums in Frankfurt and Dresden and the museums of the NORe-association e.V.
The project is supported by the BMBF as part of the initiative “Vernetzen – Erschließen – Erforschen. Allianz für universitäre Sammlungen”.

In scope of the project “Wildkatzensprung” by the Federal Agency of Nature Conservancy, examines the Senckenberg Research Institute and, since 2012, BUND the national dissemination and migration of wildcats.
