The Senckenberg School
Are you looking for a career that combines your interests in natural history research, museums, and scientific collections? At our supplementary school, which is unique in Germany, we can offer you exactly that! Within a two-year training program, we teach you everything you need to know to work as a technical assistant for natural history museums and research institutes.
The training includes lessons in biology, geology, and paleontology. The focus is on the structure and form of organisms and their systematics. In addition, you will learn how scientific collections are structured and how to process, document, and maintain valuable collection material.
The professional fields of application are correspondingly diverse and range from natural history museums and research institutes to universities, state offices, and specialist authorities. You will be in demand wherever precise knowledge of species and forms or working with sensitive biological and geological material is required.
