Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board is an independent committee appointed by the Verwaltungsrat (a supervisory board of Senckenberg Society for Nature Research, SGN) and consists of external, nationally and internationally renowned scientists. The Scientific Advisory Board consults the Direktorium (Directorate) and the Verwaltungsrat of SGN on all tasks, strategic planning and decisions concerning research and the museums of SGN. It also evaluates the research programs submitted by Senckenberg as well as their implementation and submits own suggestions for the further development of SGN. Board members are elected for a period of four years and can be re-elected only once.
