Research
Long term research interests concern:
- Lower Jurassic ostracod biogeography in relation to contemporary oceanographic and climatic systems, with current projects on the Pliensbachian-Toarcian boundary in southern Britain and Umbria, Italy, and offshore material from Western Australia.
- Quaternary ostracods Britian, the Skaggarak (collaboration with Aarhus Universitet) and Rio Sizandro, Portugal (collaboration with the University of Frankfurt and Universidade de Lisboa).
- Cenozoic of the eastern Mediterranean, especially Cyprus, with a current project on Neogene biostratigraphy and sedimentary history in relation to tectonics of the Nicosia district (collaboration with the Cyprus Geological Survey Division and U.S. Geological Survey via Unops).
