Coral reefs count alongside tropical rainforests among the most biodiverse and productive Ecosystems of our earth. They just cover about 0.2 percent of the ocean floor but a third of the marine fauna. This diversity of organisms, the threat this endangered Habitat, but also Opportunities for recreation will be in our fascinating new coral reef exhibit tangible. The central exhibit is a large, room-filling Reef with almost 3000 inhabitants. Interviews with actors from the Pacific Space give insights into the living worlds there and dealing with the reef ecosystem.

During the opening tour, you will get insights into the three-year history of the project at various stations in the museum. In conversation with exhibition organizers and researchers, you will learn more about the state of knowledge about tropical coral reefs, the design of the exhibition and the renovation of the nature museum.
