Fascination amber

Support us in Frankfurt am Main with the digital recording of amber inclusions

For the amber collection and the trilobite collection digitization is of great importance! Support us in this process in Frankfurt/Main.

The section Paleozoology I and Amber Research, which was established shortly ago, focuses on two research areas: systematic determination and description of the diversity of flora, fauna and microorganisms from different amber deposits, and actualistic experiments comparing recent faunas with fossil faunas. We have more than 15,000 ambers and countless insects in alcohol.

The section also oversees the trilobite collection, which is one of the largest of its kind in the world with approximately 120,000 specimens of about 3,000 species.

For these collections, digitization in our database with inclusions is of great importance! Support us in this in Frankfurt am Main.
