Senckenberg Data and Modelling Center (SDMC)
The SDMC is a decentral structure that bundles scientific IT expertise across Senckenberg.
Our mission is to
- Be a knowledge hub for geobiodiversity data, analyses and modelling
- Be a competence center for research data management
- Develop databases, web portals and infrastructure to make scientific data available under the FAIR principles
- Support the digitisation of Senckenberg’s scientific collections
- Support the analysis of geobiodiversity data and the development of geobiodiversity models, in particular to address Anthropocene biodiversity loss
- Provide fundamental infrastructure for data storage, archiving and high performance computing
