Hanns-Bruno-Geinitz Prize
The Senckenberg Natural History Collections in Dresden award the Hanns-Bruno-Geinitz Prize, which totals 5,000 euros. The award is presented by Dr. Dedo Geinitz.
According to the work of Prof. Dr. H. B. Geinitz, the first director of the Royal Mineralogical-Geological Museum in Dresden (1857-1898), the prize is awarded to young geoscientists for an outstanding, preferably application-oriented, scientific achievement in the geosciences (e.g. a master’s thesis, dissertation).
The prize can be shared among several people.
All scientists from university and non-university research institutions, museums with a geoscientific research focus, geological state offices, and expert reviewers from the DFG have the right to propose award winners.
The award ceremony takes place at irregular intervals. It is not possible to apply for yourself. The age of the proposed award winners must not have exceeded 35 years in the award year.
The prize was awarded at the 71st BHT – Freiberg University Forum (June 3-5, 2020).
The Application Deadline was the 26th of April, 2020.
