Hanns-Christian-Schroeder-Hohenwarth Prize

This prize is awarded by the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research on the occasion of the 80th birthday of its honorary president Dr. Hanns Christian Schroeder-Hohenwarth since 2001. The Hanns-Christian-Schroeder-Hohenwarth-Prize is awarded for the best publication published in our member magazine “Nature • Research • Museum”. The prize is awarded alongside 1,500 euros.

The winner is determined by the members of the Senckenberg Society for Natural Research. In the member magazine “Nature • Research • Museum”, all articles from the previous year are listed in a supplement. Members are requested to tick the item they prefer in this list and to return the list to the SGN by the end of March, stating the membership number. Only one article may be ticked per member. The award winner is the author who can collect the most votes. The counting takes place with the exclusion of legal recourse by a committee that is set up by the general meeting on the proposal of the president.
