Ich bin Entomologe und beschäftige mich mit einer Vielzahl von Forschungsfragen in den Bereichen Systematik, Evolutions- und Naturschutzbiologie. Meine jüngsten und laufenden Projekte befassen sich mit der Taxonomie und der übergeordneten Phylogenetik von Käfern, der Untersuchung der Hypothese höherer Speziationsraten und erhöhter morphologischer Plastizität in pädomorphen Linien sowie mit der Nutzung naturkundlicher Sammlungen als Ressourcen zum Verständnis des Verlusts der biologischen Vielfalt.
