18th International Symposium on Dental Morphology

3rd Congress of International Association of Paleodontology

We are planning the 18th ISDM together with the 3rd meeting of the International Association for Paleodontology (IAPO) as a face-to-face event at the Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, August 15-19, 2022.

After more than 50 years, starting with its first conference in 1965 in Fredensborg Denmark, the International Symposium on Dental Morphology (ISDM) is and shall remain an independent, interdisciplinary and integrative conference bringing together about 250 world specialists in the research fields of Anthropology and Palaeoanthropology, Palaeontology, Anatomy, Archaeology, Zoology, Biomechanics, Forensics, Dentistry, Molecular Biology to discuss intensively the latest findings and versatile current research perspectives on dental evolution, jaw system adaptations, tooth development, tooth growth, life history, functional morphology, evolutionary dentistry and dental forensics in a broad and integrative unique knowledge and discussion forum during three to four days.

All participants must have an institutional affiliation. As we cannot predict how the Corona measures will be in Frankfurt in August 2022, we ask everyone to be prepared for possible restrictions. Based on the volatile Corona situation, we anticipate that participation in the event will only be possible for fully vaccinated and/or recovered persons.

If you have any questions, please contact ISDM2022@senckenberg.de
