Diese internationale Zeitschrift für Malakologie wird von der Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung, Frankfurt am Main, herausgegeben.

Zeitschrift der Deutschen Malakozoologischen Gesellschaft. Diese Zeitschrift wurde 1868 begründet und ist heute die älteste erscheinende Fachzeitschrift für Malakologie.

Das Archiv für Molluskenkunde veröffentlicht hauptsächlich Arbeiten auf dem Gebiet der Systematik, Taxonomie, Phylogenie und Morphologie von Mollusken. Auch Beiträge zu fossilen Mollusken des Känozoikums sowie zur Ökologie und Biogeographie von Mollusken sind willkommen. Arbeiten zur Physiologie, Parasitologie, oder über Fossilien anderer Epochen als Känozoikum und über Biostratigraphie sollten anderswo eingereicht werden. Generell publizieren wir keine regional-faunistischen Beiträge; es sind aber Ausnahmen möglich, z.B. bei Entdeckungen von überregionaler Bedeutung aus wenig erforschten Regionen oder bei umfassenden und gut illustrierten Reviews, die als Grundlage für zukünftige Forschung dienen können. Manuskripte mit historischer Thematik (z.B. Biographien und Bibliographien, aber keine aktuellen Nachrufe) werden in Betracht gezogen, falls sie für taxonomische Forschung relevant sind.

Das Archiv für Molluskenkunde publiziert in englischer Sprache und wird international begutachtet. Die Zeitschrift erscheint jährlich mit zwei Heften (ein Band), im zweiten und vierten Quartal, die zusammen bis zu 300 Seiten umfassen.

Autoren müssen normalerweise keine Druckkostenzuschüsse bezahlen, auch nicht für notwendige Farbabbildungen. Pro Beitrag (nicht pro Autor) gibt es 25 kostenlose Separata und eine Autoren-PDF (nur für den persönlichen Gebrauch).

Manuskripte bitte gemäß den Richtlinien für Autoren abfassen und in digitaler Form an die Redaktion senden.
